Eastern Washington group Question PAC vows to challenge every Republican running in Washington State

August 13th, 2019 EPHRATA, Wash. – Republican leadership has subjected the United States to unprecedented levels of chaos and corruption, led by a dishonest and dishonorable president and propped up by the countless federal and state Republicans who have turned a blind eye to the insanity taking place in our nation’s capital.

A local political media group, Question PAC, has determined that it will create political content to challenge every single Republican legislator running for either state or federal positions in Washington State leading up to the 2020 elections.

Question PAC is a non-profit independent expenditure 527 group (i.e. a “Super PAC”) located in Ephrata, WA.

The group was founded in April of 2018 by former talk-radio producer Charles Wiegand, who is using his broadcasting and publicity training to disrupt the political environment in rural Washington.

“The media landscape around here makes it so that the average news consumer is hardly ever exposed to a progressive point of view. Much of the political content in rural Washington that isn’t in the middle of this unbalanced media teeter-totter is sitting firmly on the Republican side, and that’s a disservice to Washington voters,” said Question PAC media director Charles Wiegand.

“And considering the chaos, corruption and cruelty that the Republican Party has been willing to inflict on the United States, it’s easy to say with certainty and moral clarity that any politician who identifies with the GOP is not capable of being a good politician, because the GOP itself is incapable of good governance.

”Question PAC intends to reach out heavily on new media platforms as well as extensive Spanish-language outreach in order to inform unengaged and undecided voters.
“The last thing any GOP politician running in Washington wants is to be tied directly to the absurdity of the Trump administration as well as destructive Republican policies such as their attacks on health care, their tax cut giveaway, and their cruel migrant policies,” said Wiegand. “And that’s the first thing that Question PAC will be doing.”

It’s Time to Impeach Donald Trump, and that Means Voting Out Cathy McMorris Rodgers and Dan Newhouse

A grassroots political organization called Question PAC was formed in the town of Ephrata, WA with the sole purpose of defeating Congressman Dan Newhouse (WA-04) and Congresswoman Cathy McMorris (WA-05) in the upcoming midterm elections on November 6th.
In light of the recent felony convictions of several Trump associates, it has become clear that Donald Trump is unfit to hold the highest office in the land, and it would be in the interests of the nation for the House of Representatives to impeach the president.

However impeachment is not a legal question, it is a political question that will be decided by our representatives Dan Newhouse and Cathy McMorris Rodgers, and they have made it clear that they have no interest in upholding the rule of law.

“McMorris Rodgers and Newhouse need to be confronted not only on their support of the chaotic and corrupt status quo in Washington, D.C, but also on the actions they’ve taken while in office,” said Question PAC media director Charles Wiegand.

Question PAC has produced several political issue ads to challenge Newhouse and McMorris Rodgers on efforts they’ve taken in Congress that go against the priorities of regular people in Eastern Washington, such as:

* Sponsoring bills that would put $56 billion dollars of veteran spending on the chopping block.
*Voting to slash funding on health care for working families to pay for enormous corporate tax cuts.
* Successfully passing PERMANENT and ENORMOUS tax cuts that funnel money to international corporate stockholders, while making SMALL tax cuts for working families TEMPORARY.
* Supporting massive cuts to Social Security and have shown a willingness to privatize our retirement funds for the benefit of Wall Street.

Question PAC is asking concerned citizens east of the Cascades to help continue airing the political advertisements on regional TV, radio and internet platforms leading up to the election.

In Historic First, Grassroots “Super PAC” Forms in Eastern Washington ahead of Midterm Elections

The group—called Question PAC—was founded by a local businessman in April of 2018 and is headquartered in the small town of Ephrata, located in the heart of Eastern Washington. Its sole purpose is to defeat congresspersons Dan Newhouse of the 4th District and Cathy McMorris Rodgers of the 5th District in the upcoming midterm elections.

The formation of a grassroots Super PAC is rare enough by itself, but is unprecedented for Eastern Washington. Founded and administrated by local staff, this PAC will operate independently of outside groups and will be receiving support from local citizens who want to effect political change directly in their own back yard.

The organization is local, experienced, effective, lean, and ready to engage in a long, steady campaign.

Washington D.C. is mired in scandal and money-politics the likes of which has never before been seen. During this confusion, our local congressional representatives Newhouse and McMorris Rodgers have:
* Sponsored bills that would put $56 billion dollars of veteran spending on the chopping block.
* Worked on taking away health care from working families to provide tax cuts for corporations using offshore tax havens.
* Voted for PERMANENT and ENORMOUS tax cuts that funnel money to international corporate stockholders, while making SMALL tax cuts for working families TEMPORARY.
* Are working on taking Social Security out of its current structure and throwing your retirement funds into the hands of Wall Street.
“Considering how chaotic, crass and corrupt the current administration in Washington, D.C. has been, you’d expect our own representatives to try and rein that in,” said Question PAC founder and media director Charles Wiegand. “Instead, they’re protecting this terrible status quo while selling us this idea that tax breaks for corporate shareholders and cuts to healthcare are good for the people of Eastern Washington. We don’t think people are buying it, and we intend to use every means at our disposal to bring this message to our neighbors.”

Political issue ads have already been produced and are being released. Question PAC will be seeking funding to air these ads throughout the entire region all the way up to Election Day on November 6th.
